Former President Donald Trump is the pick of Greene County Republicans who attended precinct caucuses Monday.
The Iowa GOP reports a total of 380 Republicans caucused in Greene County. Of those, 209 (55 percent) favored Trump as the Republicans’ 2024 presidential candidate.
Florida governor Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley were far behind Trump but close together, with DeSantis receiving 77 votes (20.2 percent) and Haley receiving 61 votes (16 percent).
Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy received 25 votes (6.5 percent), Texas businessman and pastor Ryan Binkley received seven votes (1.8 percent) and former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson received one vote.
